With the changes occurring in today’s beef industry and financial world, it is vital the beef producers have partners that will work with them from start to finish in improving their product. That’s why we want to become partners with you, the bull and semen buyer, in producing females that work in your environment and cattle that perform in our feedlot.

The industry has been plagued with a constant search for extremes. Frame, performance, muscle, milk, quality grade, yield grade, too big, too little. Where does it end? We have never believed in “Maximums”, but focus on the “Optimum”. SimAngus genetics can help you achieve the optimums in one easy cross and keep maintaining it without complicated breeding schemes. Simple, easy, and efficient.

SimAngus genetic offer the best of both worlds. Good Angus cattle are hard to beat in the areas of calving ease, quality grade, fleshing ability in a black and polled package. Simmental’s offer tremendous performance, muscle, and yield grade. They offer the best combination of the British and Continental worlds to give you the free advantages of heterosis. Efficiency, longevity, and performance all increased in a simple, one step solution.

We strive to own the best genetics available and we believe the bulls we offer will provide profitability to your operation. Contact us to discuss which bull will work best for you.

  Frog
50% Simmental Reg# 2486766

Sire: SVF Steel Force S701
Dam:
RR Idessa 7375 (Bando 598)
DOB:
11-30-08
BW: 72#

RRJS Frog 134U is genetically designed the way all SimAngus bulls should be, utilizing the most value the Simmental and Angus breeds have to offer!  SVF Steel Force S701 has proven his worth siring some of the highest value purebred and SimAngus cattle to sell in the last 12 months.  No wonder his semen regularly brings well in excess of than $200.00 per straw.  On the dam side is RR Idessa 7375, the flagship donor of the Ratcliff Ranch Angus program.  A daughter of Bon View Bando 598 out of a 6807 daughter, she produced the lot #1 and #2 Angus bulls in the fall 2009 Ratcliff sale and the best SimAngus bull of the 2009 calf crop!  Phenotypically, Frog offers tremendous depth of body, muscle and balance in a conservative sized package.  He should be ideal for producing large numbers of deep, sound practical daughters with the kind of look that makes them easy to keep or merchandise.  Great sire, great donor dam, great possibilities!

  3C Upgrade
Purebred Simmental Reg# 2474338
Homozygous Black/Polled

Sire: Ellingson Legacy “Ollie”
Dam:
GLS Mojo
DOB:
3-05-08
Upgrade is the $50,000 high selling bull of the 3C/NLC 2009 bull sale.  Upgrade was the most talked about bull of the spring 2009 sale season, and quickly sold out of the exclusive offering of only 30 semen packages in 2009.  This fall semen has sold from $200 to $400 a straw.  To date we have yet to find a sire that combines muscle, soundness, growth, eye appeal and all in a Homozygous black and polled moderate package.  We are very excited to see the first progeny sired by Upgrade.  We were fortunate to team up with Ratcliff Ranch and partner with NLC Simmentals to acquire the Flushing Rights of Upgrades mother.  Look for full sib Heifer Pregnancies in the future.

  Transformer
50% Simmental Reg# 2474338
solid black & polled

Sire: 3C Macho M450 BZ
Dam:
Partisover Burgess 532 (Right Time 24J)
DOB:
12-18-06

Transformer is one of the most impressive Macho half -bloods we have ever seen.  After traveling 1700 miles straight from Partisover Ranch to Colorado, Transformer looked like he was on full feed and water.  It is hard to combine his extreme body and rib with such a cool neck and a showsteer hip and hind leg that is all put together in a very moderate package.  Randy Daniels and Travis Pembrook have the first calves on the ground out of Angus cows and they say they look more like half-bloods than quarter bloods.  Use Transformer to soften up those harder made females while maintaining muscle and look.

Eagle Eye was on display in Denver and captured the attention of many cattlemen.  He offers correctness and muscling in a moderate frame score like his sire, but has the opportunity to add even more maternal strength.  When we first looked at Eagle Eye as a yearling we initially thought he was a crossbred bull.  He was extremely heavy muscled and very attractive upfront.  We think his daughters that are pictured will be very productive females in the future offering many different options to the beef industry.
